Short description
The tablecloth is made of thin fabric, outlined with bobbin lace on two edges. It is a non-continuous tape metre lace with a typical Idrija motif of hearts. Elements and techniques of bobbin lacemaking used: designing a motif in a technique of cloth stitch with outer and inner pins; fillings: spiders, square-shaped tallies.

Original use
The tablecloth for couples was used at the funerals (in 1964). The Idrija Municipal Museum bought six tablecloths of that kind, from the owner Ivanka Perušek, born Malnar (1921–2005). The tablecloths were made by Ivanka and were a part of a trousseau for the wedding (in 1956). The lace was bought in the area of Idrija. At that time, the owner’s sister, Marija Malnar, was a cook at the parson's house in Idrija.
Present use
The tablecloth with the bobbin lace edge is being preserved, secured and presented as important mining heritage of Idrija with exceptional universal values. It is physical evidence of the centuries-old bobbin lace tradition and knowledge of bobbin lace making in Idrija. It is a part of the lace collection of the Idrija Municipal Museum. More similar patterns preserved in the aforementioned collection can be used for other types of promotion.

History of conservation:
The tablecloth has a dirty stain (in a lesser extent). Additional interventions are not necessary. Security of the premises is taken care of.
