Gloves are made completely in the bobbin lacemaking technique of narrow tape and double stitch with outer pins and plaited edges along the upper side.

The bobbin lace gloves were used as an item of clothing (for special occasions).
Present use
The described lace is being preserved, secured and presented as important mining heritage of Idrija with exceptional universal values. It is physical evidence of the centuries-old bobbin lace tradition and knowledge of bobbin lace making in Idrija. It is a part of the lace collection of the Idrija Municipal Museum. In 2013, the described lace was used at the reception of Embassy of the Republic of Slovenia Holy See, it was used in 2014 in the Carsic House in Repen and in the Parenzana Museum in Izola within the exhibition “Idrija Lace - timeless bobbin lace masterpiece”. More similar patterns preserved in the lace collection of the Idrija Municipal Museum can be used for other types of promotion.

The lace is well preserved. Additional interventions are not necessary. Security of the premises is taken care of.
