Short description
The bobbin lacemaker’s table has two legs. The legs are connected at the bottom with a leg-rest, which is slightly raised off the ground. The upper side of the table is a flat rectangular board.

Original use
The described table was used for the placement of the basket with the pillow (bula) and other gadgets for bobbin lacemaking.
Present use
The table is being preserved, secured and presented as an important mining heritage of Idrija with exceptional universal values. It is physical evidence of the centuries-old bobbin lace tradition and knowledge of bobbin lace making in Idrija. It is a part of the lace collection of the Idrija Municipal Museum. Visitors can view it within the permanent museum exhibition Idrija Lace, History Written in Thread, which tells the story of the handmade, Idrija bobbin lace. More similar patterns preserved in the lace collection of the Idrija Municipal Museum can be used for other types of promotion.

The table was conserved in 2008. Additional interventions are not necessary. Security of the premises is taken care of.
