Short description
According to the basic production technique, the object described can be placed among the non-continuous lace. It is motif lace of completed shape (circle), made in parts. There is cyclically repeated flower motif in it. Elements and techniques of bobbin lacemaking used: designing motifs with cloth stitch and half stitch, fillings: tallies under half stitch, tallies, cloth stitch with a hole, triangular net, spiders, plaits.

Original use
The described object is an independent product of an Idrija Lacemaking School’s bobbing lacemaking teacher, Metka Fortuna. A lace pattern was also a part of the lace. Lace was made with 40 pairs of bobbins, which required 250 hours of bobbin lacemaking.
Present use
The described lace is being preserved, secured and presented as important mining heritage of Idrija with exceptional universal values. It is physical evidence of the centuries-old bobbin lace tradition and knowledge of bobbin lace making in Idrija. It is a part of the lace collection of the Idrija Municipal Museum. Visitors can view it within the permanent museum exhibition Idrija Lace, History Written in Thread, which tells the story of the handmade, Idrija bobbin lace. More similar patterns preserved in the lace collection of the Idrija Municipal Museum can be used for other types of promotion.
