Original use
The graphic work – The Lacemaker, is only one of the numerous artworks that Rudi Skočir has created and dedicated to the Idrija Mercury Mine and Idrija City’s 500th anniversary celebration. The author, being a painter and graphic designer, has exhibited his artworks in more than 100 independent exhibitions at home and abroad. He has also participated on over 150 group exhibitions and ex tempores at home and abroad. He has received many awards and recognitions. He has established himself as a painter, graphic designer and book illustrator for young people and adults.
Present use
The described graphic work is being preserved, secured and presented as important mining heritage of Idrija with exceptional universal values. It is a part of the art collection of Idrija Municipal Museum. The picture can be used for occasional exhibitions. At the same time, it is available for different institutions, operating in a wider social interest, to borrow from Municipal Museum for different purposes.
