Short description
The described artistic work is created with the acrylic collage technique on canvas. The colourfully diverse painting has the inscription Hydria in the middle. In the given context it represents the Idrija woman with her attributes (the lace), who looks into the future with optimism.

Original use
In addition to the central motif of “Skočir’s” woman, which seeks to show the deeper meaning of the individual's life journey (the purpose and the objective of living, human ephemeral and attitude towards her, smallness and greatness etc.). Another important motif is the Idrija lace. It represented an important additional source of income for mining families. The artist includes numerous symbols (playing cards, numbers) and colour combinations in the painting. The cards denote the fact that we are aware of the countless unknown, unannounced life paths, options and twists (as in card games). The colour combinations create conflicts between the good and the bad and try to conjure up the mood and well-being.
Present use
The described painting is being preserved, secured and presented as important mining heritage of Idrija with exceptional universal values. It is a part of the art collection of Idrija Municipal Museum. Visitors can see it within the permanent exhibition “Milestones of the 20th Century”.

The painting is properly maintained. Additional interventions are not necessary. Security of the premises is taken care of.
