Description
Short description
The deepened opening of the tunnel is embedded with a model or a 3D cross section of the Idrija Mine. Individual glass and plastic square colourful pipes were used to display all the levels (15) as well as the shafts which were connected with these levels. Every level is in different colour (the shafts connected with the level are the same colour as the level). There is a measuring scale, which indicates the depth of mine and individual horizons, at the side. The model has specially marked the permanent museum display of the Anthony's Main Road.

Original use
In Šelštev, in front of the direct entrance into the museum display Anthony's Main Road, there is a model of Idrija pit installed in the ground. The model has represented and still represents the Idrija ore deposit, which was 1500 metres long, 600 m wide and up to 400 m deep. The main level tracks were intended for ore transport, ventilation and access to the worksites. They were connected with blind shafts. All 15 levels were connected with different vertical entrance shafts, which were connected with the surface.
Present use
The mine model is being preserved, secured and presented as important mining heritage of Idrija with exceptional universal values. It is a part of a mining collection of CUDHg (the Mercury Heritage Management Centre Idrija). Visitors can view it within the permanent museum display Anthony's Main Road. It is a part of the display that represents the entire story of mining in the Idrija Mercury Mine and the related work process.

History of conservation:
The model of the mine is well preserved. Therefore, no additional interventions are necessary. Security of the premise is taken care off.
