Original use
The described construction was placed above the entrance to Francis’s Shaft after 1945. At the beginning of 1990s it was removed from its position. The construction was then soon owned and secured by Idrija Municipal Museum.
Present use
The described object is being preserved, secured and presented as important mining heritage of Idrija with exceptional universal values. It is a part of the historical collection of Idrija Municipal Museum. Visitors can see it within the museum exhibition “Milestones of the 20th Century”.

History of conservation:
The object was properly conserved and painted for the purposes of the exhibition. Additional interventions are not necessary. Security of the premises is ensured.
