The forging pliers were used in manual or machine forging in the Joseph's shaft forge.
Present use
The described object is being preserved, secured and presented as important mining heritage of Idrija with exceptional universal values. It is a part of the mining collection of the Idrija Municipal Museum. Visitors can view it within the permanent museum display exhibition in the Francis’ Shaft. It displays restored mining machines and devices, tools and equipment, which were necessary for working in a pit or in outdoor plants. It can also be used for different types of mercury heritage promotions.
