The wrench has a handle and an adjustable jaw. Both elements are joined with a bolt and a nut ("1/4"-inch thread). Two bores served for setting the jaw.

Original use
The pipe wrench was used in manufacturing water supply, steam conduction, compressed air pipe system installations for screwing the connective material.
Present use
The described object is being preserved, secured and presented as important mining heritage of Idrija with exceptional universal values. It is a part of the mining collection of the Idrija Municipal Museum. It is located in the museum depot and can be used for temporary exhibitions. It can also be used for different types of mercury heritage promotions.
