This panel sets out the studies and abnormalities that happened over several centuries because of the disease caused by mercury (mercury poisoning).
At the end of the 19th century and the beginning of the 20th, it was confirmed that mercury induces poisoning in people who handle it. Research was done on what kind of health systems can be used to try and cure this disease (""sauna closet"" and ""beach""), taking the first steps towards industrial hygiene that has become widespread in all workplaces.
