Description
Short description
The system of predatory exploitation was used in Almadén from the Middle Ages to the 18th century. It consisted of extracting the ore along the way as the excavation of the galleries progressed, leaving irregular and disorderly hollows that were supported by wooden props, more or less numerous depending on the stability of the gables and roofs. With this system, the exploitation was disorderly, because once they extracted the ore they were interested in, they did not follow the lode, which was abandoned at that point.
