Short description
San Carlos and San Sebastián furnaces of the Bustamante System in the Cerco de Buitrones at Almadén. These furnaces came to Almadén in the year 1646, thanks to Juan Alonso de Bustamante. The furnaces were invented in Huancavelica (Peru) by Lope Saavedra Barba, they worked in Almadén mines until the Civil War. The plan shows the floor plan and elevation of the furnace. Each installation consists of two furnaces; this plan presents the San Carlos and San Sebastián furnaces.
