Short description
"This monument represents the history of the hard and sacrificial work of the miner at the Almadén Mines over several millennia. It is a tribute to those men who came to this land from the ends of the world to give their lives to the mine.
It was constructed thanks to an initiative carried out in 1995 by the Official Association of Technical Engineers of Almadén Mines, with the aim that this mining town was to have a monument that would recognise the work of its miners.
Other social groups and institutions from Almadén joined this initiative that, with help from crowdfunding, obtained the funds necessary to carry out this sculptural work.
