Description
Short description
"These are the minerals that accompany the ore, but are of no interest at the time of mine exploitation. In the case of Almadén, the minerals that appear most frequently associated with cinnabar are pyrite, baryte and dolomite, in addition to other minerals common in metal mining such as quartz or calcite.
This showcase displays: baryte crystals, dolomite crystals, gypsum in acicular crystals, baryte crystals impregnated with cinnabar (all from the Almadén mine) and pyrite crystals on dolomite and pyrite nodule (from the El Entredicho mine)"
