Description

Short description
"Explanation of the experiments:
The density of mercury.
Activating the motor, we can see how the container gets filled with water; when the volume of the water is almost 14 times greater than that of mercury, the weight of the water will overcome that of mercury.
Which physical property explains what happened? Density is the amount of mass times the amount of space a body occupies. In the case of mercury, this is 13.69g/cm3, which is almost 14 times more than water, whose density is 1g/cm3.

Manometers in equilibrium.
In one of them, there is only mercury, in the other there are mercury and water. As can be seen, the amount of water needed to balance the manometers is 13.69 times greater than the amount of mercury, due to their different properties."
